Photography Booking Policy
Thank you for choosing L’Art for your photography needs! We are excited to work with you and create lasting memories. Please take a moment to review our booking policy to ensure a smooth and successful experience for both parties.
1. Booking & Reservation
- Booking Confirmation: A session is not officially booked until a deposit has been received and confirmed. We recommend booking at least 3-4 weeks (for weddings at least 6-8 weeks) in advance to ensure availability.
- Session Availability: We operate on a first-come, first-served basis. If the preferred date is unavailable, we will suggest alternate dates or times.
2. Deposit & Payment
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to secure your session date. This deposit will be credited toward the total session fee.
- Payment Methods: Payments can be made via EFT.
- Final Payment: Full payment is due two days before the day of the session unless otherwise agreed upon.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Client Cancellation: If you need to cancel your session, please notify us at least 8-9 days in advance. Deposits are non-refundable, but we will work with you to reschedule for a future date, subject to availability.
- Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule due to illness, personal emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, please notify us at least 4-5 days before the session. We will accommodate rescheduling based on availability.
- Photographer Cancellation: In the rare event that we need to cancel your session due to illness, emergency, or any other unforeseen circumstance, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer to reschedule or refund your deposit in full.
4. Session Details
- Location & Travel: Sessions will be held at the location agreed upon during the booking process. Travel fees may apply if the location is outside our standard service area of Secunda. (R3/km)
- Duration: Session times are approximate and depend on the package selected. We ask that clients be punctual to ensure the session runs on time.
5. Client Responsibilities
- Punctuality: Please arrive on time for your session. Any delays may reduce the time available for your photoshoot.
- Attire & Preparation: We recommend wearing [suggested attire based on session type] and bring any props, outfits, or special items you want to include in your photos.
- Permissions: If the session is taking place in a public space or on private property, the client is responsible for obtaining necessary permissions or permits.
6. Photography Rights & Usage
- Image Use: All images produced during the session are the property of L’Art, and you are granted a personal license to use the images for personal use only (e.g., prints, social media, albums).
- Commercial Use: Any commercial use of the images (e.g., advertising, promotional materials) requires prior written consent and may incur additional fees.
- Sharing & Social Media: We encourage you to share your photos on social media! Please credit L’Art when posting online.
7. Editing & Deliverables
- Editing: We will provide professionally edited images from the session. Basic editing includes color correction, cropping, and exposure adjustments. Requests for additional retouching or specific edits may incur an extra charge.
- Turnaround Time: Final images will be delivered within 2 weeks of the session date (excl. Weddings). A private online gallery will be provided for you to view and download your images or you can request a ZIP folder to your inbox.
8. Liability & Safety
- Liability: L’Art is not liable for any personal injury, accidents, or loss/damage to property during the photoshoot. Please ensure a safe environment and adequate supervision if children or pets are involved.
- Health & Safety: In light of ongoing health concerns (such as COVID-19 or other public health matters), we may implement additional safety protocols, such as wearing masks or maintaining social distancing. We ask that you comply with any such requirements.
9. Agreement & Acknowledgment
- Contract: By booking a session with us, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy. A formal contract will be provided outlining the specifics of your session and any additional terms as required.
- Acknowledgment: Upon booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions of this policy.
